Lily writes contemporary gay and paranormal romance.  She loves to explore the relationship between two men and the intensity of their physical and emotional attraction in her writing. Angst often features in her stories as she feels this demonstrates the depth of the men’s feelings for each other. Lily is forever writing imaginary scenes in her head, but only a few ever make it to the page. There never seems to be enough hours in the day. She reviews for several blog sites and has recently launched Gay Book Promotions, a new online book promotion service for authors of LGBT+ romance and fiction.

  1. Hi Lily,

I just wanted to drop you a line to say what a great website you have! I’m really impressed by the content; the ‘resources’ section, in particular, contains lots of useful info for a newbie author like myself in the mm genre.

We’re followers of each other on Twitter, where you’ll find me as AE Ryecart@awritetodo. I published my first book, Imperfect, at the end of May via Amazon. I’m waiting to hear back from my editor with book number two, which should be in the next couple of days, so gearing myself up for some major work. If all goes to plan I’ll be publishing in November.

Being so new to whole writing and publishing lark, I’m still finding my feet. It’s a world away from my old life in HR, which I chucked in at the end of March, but my life feels the richer for making the change which was long overdue.

Like you, I also have a bemused husband and when I read that it made me chuckle! Bemused or not, he’s probably my greatest fan and his support has been invaluable.

Are you going to the UK Meet? I’m not, as I found out about it too late, but to be honest I want to go when I’ve got more than one book under my belt, so looking forward to next year.

    Cheers,

    Ali

    • Thank you for this lovely message, Ali. I’m glad you like my blog and have found the links useful.

I love the cover of your book. I saw it on Twitter. Sounds like something I’d like to read. Good luck with book 2.

Bemused yet supportive husbands are the best 😉

I’ll be at the UK Meet this weekend. Hope to see you there next time. We are also having an author meet and greet in Birmingham in February. Perhaps you could make that. Let me know and I’ll send you the info xx

  2. HI Lily, glad you like the book cover – it’s provoked lots of very positive reactions. Yes, I’d be interested in knowing more about the meet and greet in Brum. I’m based between Watford & St Albans so getting there wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t too far from New Street station. So, yes, if you could send the info that would be great.
