This second edition has been expanded and reedited.
A male escort takes on an inexperienced client and breaks the first rule of rent boys: don’t get attached.
After updating his Rent Boy blog profile, well-endowed porn star Ty receives a text from a sexually inexperienced client. Andy, the client, asks Ty to provide him with the necessary know-how so should he ever get a date with the guy he’s attracted to, he’ll be fully prepared.
Little does Ty know that this hookup will lead to a friendship that will subsequently change his life.
The door opened, and a skinny geek with specs faced me. Thinking I had the wrong house, and worried that the boy’s father had made the appointment, I floundered. Now, that will be awkward. How’s he planning to get his kid out of the house?
“Excuse me. I’m looking for Andy. Is he here?”
The boy flushed bright red and pushed up his black-framed glasses. “That’s me, I’m Andy Parker. You have the right address.”
You’ve got to be kidding me.
“Okay, son! How old are you?” He didn’t look a day over fifteen.
His eyes widened, but his gaze didn’t leave mine. He bristled a little, rising to his full height. “I’m eighteen. Nineteen in three months. I can show you my ID, if you like.” He looked beyond my shoulder, then ushered me hastily inside.
I followed him to the kitchen. “I’m Tyrone, by the way.”
He hadn’t even asked my name. I could have been any weirdo coming into his home. I guessed he recognized me from my online photos or my porn videos. Whatever. It looked like he was expecting me anyway.

“This novella is a sexy, short read that is a little delicious treat. Ty was cute and likable, and I appreciate that this had a cute HEA but didn’t avoid the complexities that come with a character who is in porn and escort services. Andy is an adorable, geeky, and not very shy virgin. I loved their pairing and their evolution. Even in this short little gem, Blunt packed a solid punch!”
Review on Watch and Word Society
“I do love a story where the characters surprise me and not live up to the stereotype they initially appear to be.
Both the blurb and the start of Finding Love had me convinced I was dealing with a cocky porn star who knows it all and a shy, inexperienced and maybe even submissive student. And both Ty and Andy live up to their stereotype nicely…or do they? Is Ty really as sure of himself and what he wants as he thinks he is? And could Andy possibly have quite a bit of backbone behind his coyness?
I had so much fun with this story. Getting to know Ty and Andy was as exciting as Andy’s enticing introduction to the world of intimacy and sex was. This story is told from Ty’s perspective which, in this case, is exactly right. Watching Ty as he slowly has to admit to himself that Andy is becoming more than a client and, later, more than ‘just’ a friend was as fascinating as getting to know the real Andy was.
This is a short story and yet it is not a case of insta-love. We follow Ty and Andy’s journey from the first time they make what is purely a commercial arrangement to the point where they can no longer pretend to be anything else than boyfriends. And their journey is intriguing and beautiful.
Thank you Lily for yet another well written story and captivating read. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.”
The Way She Reads
“This was a really sweet shortstory!
As the blurb already tells you this is the story of Ty, a rent-boy, and Andy, a sweet and sexually inexperienced guy who’s looking for someone to teach him how to have sex.
Andy has had a crush on his friend for quite a while and wants to be prepared for when he has a date with this friend. So Andy hires Ty to just”show him the ropes”; just a professional relationship.. But of course things don’t go as planned. wink emoticon
While this is similar to other rent-boy falling for client stories I’ve read, Ms. Blunt managed to make me really care for both of the characters right from the start. I loved Ty questioning how to best advertise himself and could easily picture myself in his place. When I read the blurb I was prepared for the stereotypical sexworker, being overly confident and shallow. I can assure you that Ty is nothing like that!
Despite this being a short story Ms. Blunt manages to by the end make you feel like you know these two.
I really enjoyed that Finding Love doesn’t feature another case of insta-love, but that they fall slowly in love over several “dates”. I liked the realistic-ness of Ty and Andy starting things slow and working up to the actual sex because sex is an intimate act, doesn’t matter whether there’s money involved or not. I imagine the lines are easily blurred between professional and personal relationship and it was so beautiful to see this happening here.
If you’re looking for something short and sweet, this is the right book for you.”
From Top to Bottom Reviews
In Finding Love: The Perfect Size for You, Ms. Blunt managed to deliver an awesome bite-sized story. To start with, the premise of a rent boy is hot. I find the idea of anonymous encounters to be rather alluring. Add to that the humanizing of the escort, Ty, by showing that just because someone works in porn and sells sex for money, it doesn’t mean they aren’t a real person with feelings.
The other protagonist, Andy, was also well developed, initially depicted as a geeky, inexperienced, nerd who was looking to practice his sex skills so he wouldn’t make a fool of himself when he finally landed the man he was interested in.
What really did it for me in this story was the sex. It isn’t often that I experience an erotic romance where the author really takes his or her time explicitly drawing out each moment. The sensations, tastes, even smells were delivered with precision, and I was glad that I was alone as I read them since I would have made myself, and everyone else, embarrassed by my body’s physical reaction.
There really isn’t anything I can say as a criticism to this story. It was fun, fast-paced, and surpassed my expectations. So if you’re on the run and looking for a hot read with a capital HOT, this is definitely the book for you.
