 My Review:

Trent Hall is an apprentice painter, gay, in the closet, and a virgin. He is also a horny yet self-conscious teenager. He meets his dream guy, “Macca”, a muscle-packed hunk on a building site, and from the first glimpse of his firm arse, Trent lusts after him and wonders if he could be ‘the one’. Thus follows a mix of humorous and angst-filled scenes as Trent observes and awkwardly pursues Macca, but it soon becomes evident the feeling of desire is mutual.

Edison Hart’s writing draws you in from the start and Trent’s inner dialogue and fears come across as both real as well as amusing. The reader feels for the young guy, face palming when he speaks before he thinks on several occasions, and no doubt cheers him on when he dates the object of his affection.

The erotic scenes are hot and explicit yet tastefully written with passion.

The story is a delight to read with likeable and believable characters, fun and hot all rolled into one. I look forward to Book 2 in this series and further works from this talented author.

The author provided me with a copy of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.

Blurb:

Apprentice painter Trent Hall is a total klutz when it comes to boys. In fact, he’s pretty bad at social interactions generally. So when a fit, super- confident, blue-eyed tradie called Macca turns up on the building site, the nineteen-year old Aussie responds the only way he knows how—by making things way more awkward than they need to be.

Misunderstandings, miscommunications and misfires abound on this hot, horny, and often clumsy adventure. But then, the course of true love never did run smooth. Not for Trent, anyway.

Edison Hart

Edison Hart is a 34-year old gay Australian writer living in London. So he’s the full box-and-dice cliché.

For 15-years he’s been a journalist working in print, radio and television in both Australia and the UK. (Although he uses a different name for that, as MM romance readers might not understand his love of dirty politics and grubby criminal downfalls).

Downing Tools is his first foray into the hot and steamy world of MM/gay romance and erotic fiction. He specialises in Australian romances — with typical Aussie characters and humour—and horny sex scenes as hot as the Aussie sun.
